Défi sportif AlterGo has had to make some difficult decisions in the last few days as a result of the evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19. Due to the many operational, logistical, financial and other uncertainties, and in order to ensure the health and safety of all participants, the team has decided not to hold the World Boccia Cup this year.

Our partnership with BISFed is very important to us and we look forward to continuing this good collaboration. We thank BISFed for their understanding and hope to host one of their events again in 2023.

The national and school boccia competitions will take place as planned, in collaboration with Boccia Canada and the Association québécoise de sports pour paralytiques cérébraux.

The Défi sportif AlterGo team reiterates its commitment to creating the safest competition environment for all. A set of sanitary measures will be put in place by the organizing committee. We strongly recommend that ALL participants be adequately protected against COVID-19 through vaccination. If the epidemiological situation remains stable, the vaccination passport will no longer be required as of March 14, 2022, in accordance with government directives.

The organizing committee is closely following the evolution of the measures and will make sure to respect the rules in effect at the time of the event. These measures are subject to change; watch for the Défi sportif AlterGo communications!

In addition, it is still possible to register for the event for athletes who wish to participate.

Preparations for the 39th Défi sportif AlterGo are continuing and the whole team is actively working on this year’s program. To find out about all the competitions scheduled at this time, check out the competition schedule.
