Provincial and National Sports
In 2025, several provincial and national sports were on the Défi sportif AlterGo schedule. Sport development is important to us. That’s why the Défi sportif AlterGo aims to encourage athletes with functional limitations to take part in federated competitions.
We were proud to be working with sports federations in Quebec and Canada to organize several competitions in 2025.
Wheelchair Basketball
The Défi sportif AlterGo was pleased to host a wheelchair basketball tournament. Teams from Québec and Ontario competed, but the tournament was open to all.
Boccia
The Défi sportif AlterGo 2026 will be hosting a national boccia competition sanctioned by the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association. The competition is open to athletes from all over Canada.
Wheelchair Curling
From April 27 to May 2, 2026, the Défi sportif AlterGo is pleased to present the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship as part of its 43rd edition. The event is organized in collaboration with Curling Canada.
Para-athletics
Para-athletics comprises a number of events on the track and the road. In 2025, Défi sportif AlterGo is proud to have hosted the Chantal Petitclerc Classic.
Parahockey junior
The Défi sportif AlterGo 2026 is proud to host a junior category parahockey tournament.
