Provincial and National Sports
In 2026, several provincial and national sports were featured at Défi sportif AlterGo. Sport development is important to us. That is why Défi sportif AlterGo aims to encourage athletes with functional limitations to take part in sanctioned competitions.
We were proud to work with Québec and Canadian sports federations to organize several competitions for 2026.

Wheelchair Basketball
Défi sportif AlterGo hosted its annual wheelchair basketball tournament, organized in collaboration with Parasports Québec. The tournament welcomes teams primarily from Québec and Ontario.

Boccia
Défi sportif AlterGo was thrilled to once again host a World Boccia World Cup in Montreal. This stop on the international circuit brings together boccia elite from around 20 countries for individual, pairs, and team competitions.
A national boccia competition sanctioned by the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association (CCPSA) was also part of the program. The competition welcomed athletes from across Canada.

Curling
The Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship returned to Défi sportif AlterGo for a second consecutive year. The event was organized in collaboration with Curling Canada.
New at Défi sportif AlterGo in 2026, we were pleased to collaborate with the Canadian Deaf Sports Association to present the 2026 Canadian Deaf Mixed Doubles Curling Championship.
